This was the first time I had seen the band in action with the new line up and it was definitely going to be an interesting night as Faron (drums), the band's most recent member, was playing live with the band for only the second time - obviously all those hours practising paid off!!!

Although there was only a small crowd in they were very enthusiastic and appreciated the new sound which became more apparent as the evening progressed.  With some new cover songs added to their set list, the band sounded rejuvenated and certainly looked more relaxed with this new style.  Liz was on top form with some cracking vocals and the sound was extremely clear courtesy of Tony Bianco and his sound desk.  Graham, although rather more subdued compared with previous gigs I have attended, showed yet again what a superb guitarist he is and played effortlessly as did Mike who insisted on wearing his woolly hat throughout the performance!!!!!

Motus were honest enough to admit that they still need to nail some of the endings to the songs they played tonight which I'm sure Faron will be hard at work on, probably as I speak.  All in all a very enjoyable night with the promise of better still yet to come.
